Hello there i am new here and was wondering if some one could help me out.
i just got a 150 gallon tank bought it from a close friend this is going in my living room and want a wow effect so my question is does any one know of some nice looking fresh water fish to put in it it can just be one fish if it gets large and also i can upgrade later on to a 300 gallon my parents own, or even have a tank made by a guy my father knows would like a predatory and i know you guys know alot about these fish......

If your looking for a tank that will give people a wow factor when they walk in I agree above and would say discus with the correct setup inside the tank and some very nice show quality adult discus it well look awesome and you wouldn't need to upgrade as far as predators go there are so many out there it would really be up to your taste in fish

Like Matt said, there are SO many predators that it is up to your taste. Do you define "wow factor" as a big fish? Colorful fish? Weird looking fish?
 
i mean weird looking something you cant find at a local pet store i have a 90gal with jaguar ciclids but i never thought about the discus how many would you think would be good also decorations they need ect
 
does anyone know where i can get some decently priced arowana? i tryed getting one before and it died on its way to me​
