new here! sharing pics of my 90g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice tank like the bong chunks. i thought i read somewhere it was hard to keep more then 1 bgk in a tank.

Couple of ideas and thoughts here bichirs like to eat at night as do some of the other fish in your tank you could try some chuncks of beef heart. You will probably need a much larger tank as your bichirs and clown knife are going to grow really big. We have a ck and an orate bichir the ck is over 17 inches and the ornate is gaining on him. I have also read bichirs dont always get along with other bichirs.

so far i have no significant agression in my tank and yes i have plans next year for a 150g for them. but for now the 90g is plenty for the 6 of them to grow out abit, the ornate is still tiny, Very tiny... 6-7" max less than 1" in diameter, shes a tiny girl (ive had her for 4mo now, has only grown an inch since i got her) both of my senegals are Very friendly (to the point they let me handle them in the tank), and the large bgk gets abit of an additude when its hungry.. but so long as its well fed it doesnt bother the other bgk, they even swim together

i finally managed to get a picture of my other black ghost knife.... Dwarfs my other one at least 4x the size.. ~11" long

that is unusual for ur bichirs not to go after market shrimp, mine go crazy for it. Have you tried the frozen bloodworms? Mine go nuts for that too but i have to let it thaw out in a small glass of water and pour it in so it sinks to the bottom, otherwise my other fish steal it before the bichirs get a chance!

I like the set-up (including the glass :D ) the sand looks a lot better IMO.
