quick question, the one I got doesn't take F/T prey even when I pithed its brain cavity, any other tactics I could try/

Have you tried just laying the rat on the hot spot over night? The snakes I own that are picky eaters with the f\t i just lay the rat in there tub and give it a check every now an again. Id say 99 percent of the time this works. If not you may have to feed live isnt to bad. Around 24 bucks a month here in ny if your buying the rats from a pet store. I personally feed all my snakes f\t. If they dont eat it I will leave them alone for a week and try again. Some times tuff love is the only way to break them. How old\large is the bp?

What morphs are numbers 2 & 4?

#2 looks like a normal to my half trained eye. #4 looks like it may be a Fire, nice blushing... though eaither of them may be Black Pastel, pics are sometimes hard to tell...


Nice combination of Dom / Co-Dom (Incomplete Dom) and Recessives. Are you breeding them? I'd be shocked if you aren't with that collection. I'd be interested to see a list of all 25 and to hear what pairings you are making.


I have 1.0 Pastel (shopping for a Super Pastel to replace him) and 0.4 Pinstripe, Butter, Black Pastel & Super Pastel...


Methos, it's sometimes very difficult to get some BPs to take F/T. Ensuring the rat/mouse is good and warm is important. Put it in a sealed ziplock and soak it in hot water, do not wet the rat/mouse. Cracking it's skull open to allow the scent of brain to ooze out also helps... But sometimes you come across that stubborn BP that just won't eat F/T...

I will be pairing the cinnys together as well as the pieds and het pied, bumblebee mojave to the lemon blast, the lemon blast to the pastel girls and the normals will be bred to the lemon blast and cinny male. Not all the females are up to weight this year since a lot of them are hold backs for me. Hopefully everyone keeps eating and as long as there 1500grams or more they will be bred this year.

will do. what type of hets are you looking for? if i can get my pied male to breed this season i should have some 100 percent het pieds\leopard 100 percent het pied.
