Also what is bio media? and how do i use it?

Biological media is material which beneficial bacteria grow on. Beneficial bacteria change ammonia to nitrite, then change nitrite to nitrate. Put biological media inside filter.

The tank is going through a cycle. You have a while to go before it's fish ready with those readings.

Finally after an 2 hours and 100 gallons my ammonia is down to 1ppm! Thank you everyone for all the help. I hope this does not happen again. Any ideas to help me prevent this in the future?
