Welcome! lol... and The Oscar will grow Quick in the 55. There are alot of SA cichlids that would work well w/ an Oscar. Personally I'de grow-out the Oscar in the 55 then when you've got one of the larger tanks set-up put him in w/ some other SA's. The Oscar alone in the 55 will out-grow it in less then a year. But they make a very interactive "larger" fish. Oscars also do well with larger less aggresive tank mates that will still hold their own. Most Oscars act tough, But push come to shove even if the largest fish will get bullied fairly easily as a general rule.

And Contrary to popular belief Oscars are imo not an easy fish to keep. they do heck to decor, and filter systems. They are very dirty, very mischevious, But worth the headache imo. Given the encouragement a very intelligent and personable fish.
 
Thanks for all the advice! Yea I had an oscar growing up for about 10 years. I don't remember much on him moving **** in the tank but I do remember my chore of cleaning the damn thing. But I loved the fish. He built up a great personality. Hoping this one will be like him but I doubt it.
I like the wolf fish. Wanting to make it an aggressive tank but might wait till I can set up my others.
Right now I'm sharing a two story house and I think 800 pounds is more then enough for the room haha.
the owner of the house is in the middle of selling it to me. Then ill be setting the other tanks up in the living room and what not.
My gf picked out some fish with me and we got two I'd sharks one bala who schools with the IDs lol and a raphael cat
