Thank you Bearbear! I guess I was just looking for general suggestions about setting up the 40 gal. What kind of substrate is best? I really love the look of sand and was going to try a natural colored one but I'm getting mixed results on the sand vs gravel argument. Any opinions?
Get sand in my opinion its easier to clean. All you have to do is skim it with a net, looks more natural and your fish like it more. Gravel can be sharp and scratch the fish
