hey im new to the forum and was hoping to get some usefully info from here.
i just recently got some red belly piranhas and was wondering how long it usually takes to get them familiar with the tank, they seem to be pretty skittish still and dont like to eat infront of me.

here are some pics.

That is great looking set up....RBP's for the most part are skittish

RBPs are generally skittish fish. however, some arent and sometimes after they get settled into their tank they will become a little less skittish. Mine are at the 7" mark and still run into the sides of the tank when I walk by sometimes.

Sometimes taking a red or two away and adding a few caribes will make the shoal quite a bit more aggressive.
