New Heterospilus group

Hmm...in that case I was misled by the store that sold me the Argenta. He showed me his group of 3x 9-10" that live together in a 120g and said they are mellow. Only paid $7 for it, so I could easily sell it. Any ideas on a single large-ish, fairly mellow CA I could replace it with?

How large-ish? Is 8-10" too small? If not I'd recommend c. Robertsoni. Very mellow.

I think I was planning on keeping the Argenta in for a while regardless, easy enough to pull it out if it becomes aggressive.

Glad I got my het's at a larger size since they are so slow growing!

yeah I felt the same way about my hets at first...was glad to get them at ~3-3.5" but they've probably grown no more than an inch since I got them and that was in late Sept. Still love 'em but damn, just wish they'd put on some size. I have thorichthys that have outgrown them...by far. lol

That is plenty big, just have to be able to find one! Probably will give the Argenta some time and see how that works out.

In other news, my Red Ceibals spawned for the first time last week and my Sajica's followed tonight with their first batch of eggs!

Got the Het's and Chuco moved into a 125g and they seem to love it. Suddenly very calm and photogenic. Got rid of the Argenta after he started picking fights with the Chuco.

The three smaller ones are about 3" and the bigger are probably 4".

nice. I just picked up 8 of these guys. Largest is like 1.5 inches so they have a long way to go. They are much darker than yours so I hope as they age they color up like yours do. Awesome looking fish by the way!
