What a vendor charges for a fish is his perogative. Falsifying photos and creating new fish by collection points, or selling fish that have been in the hobby for years, as a new species is not a perogative. It is dishonest. Some may consider that "shrewd" I consider itdespicable.

Tomocichla tuba is it for me. H. steindachneri would be a close second. Unfortunately, the locals find them very tasty and have overfished them.

I agree with you on the tuba. I'd love to know why they're so hard to find in the hobby. I've bugged a few people about them and nothing.

Lentiginosums will be coming soon....Tuba were very plentiful for a while at least here in Cali. Rare stuff comes and goes. I know a couple of people working with Steindachneri. I just parted with 2 of my adult C. Micropthalmus. Kind of sad. Beautiful fish.

Some fish just plain dont take well to captivity. If your lfs rarely if not ever gets them in theres got to be a reason for it. Take for example Altum Angels. If youre on the level with your lfs owner, they wont hide the fact that lots of money is lost just trying to get them to the shop alive and healthy.
