also is there anything else i can put in with it until they outgrow this tank because i just wanted the flowerhorn on its own when its bigger i just thought it would be a waste of space till then don't hesitate to say anything ill try and get it if i can.

Cheers,

Keep it alone if that's your long term goal.

Even if it starts out small, being alone means water quality stays higher and your fish's health wills tay higher as well, and it will develop well.

I got my FH as a baby, 3/4 inch big, and had him in a 55g with all types of fish. He interacted with them all really well! I thought it was cool.

One day he got kinda moody and was starting to chase everyone. It was then I decided to move him to his new alone home.

If you do mix him with others, just try to make sure everyone is close to the same size. It'll be fine for a while.

Post some after pix of set-up!

Hey again a update im filling it up right now looks to be fine just gonna set it up in the next week for the bacteria cycle as im having trouble figuring out how to get power to it.

lol nice nut i allreday know what fish you will put in there from the thread name lol.what decoration lol.and how much did you got your flowerhorn for?

Um i was thinking just a few pieces of drift wood and river rocks nothing special just that is how i like it. i got the cycle started i have two internal filters going ATM they are rated @ 1400 L/PH and 250 L/PH im going to also put a 1000 L/PH canister filter on it and take off the 250 L/PH internal.
I got the flower horn for $7 i never had one before so i thought i would try one out.
