Just picked up this 8" hoplias Aimara a few days ago. I've kept malas in the past it never an Aimara and I'm very excited to see how this goes. He is already greeting me at the top of the tank for food and flaring his gills at me when I don't give him space when he wants it. I will update this thread with his growth. He's currently in a 180 gallon and plan on moving him to a 8'x3' footprint once he puts on some size. Thanks!
