Also, how do you care for most of those venomous snakes?
Very carefully. I use hooks and hemostats most of the time and rarely ever have to touch a snake.

Aren't you afraid of getting bit?
I would call it more of a strong respect than a fear but of course.

Why would you keep them as pets if their venomous?
For the same reason you keep fish as pets. You cannot handle them or play with them but they fascinate me and I love watching them.

Sorry if any of that offended you, I was just curious...don't hear about many people keeping venomous pets. I think your passion for snakes and reptiles is cool, all of them look happy and healthy. :) I really like that temple viper

Great collection! Glad these snakes got a good home!

Well then here is some more salt for you man. I just got another hot snake. I will not be keeping this one but I had a customer bring it in- Actually his daughter that was about 6 brought it in- In her hands! It is a coral snake. I will make a thread about it as soon as I can find the time.
Wow!

nice gaboon. where did you get her? unfortunately in louisiana it is practically impossible to get a permit. Unless of course you keep native venoms which is likely to happen when I get my own place hehe.

3 very good answers! I wish all hot keepers were like this. Most of the time we see a news report with Billyjobob dead with a beer next to his open tank inside his trailer. Title of the picture "Poisons snakes escape for the third time! Owner dead" Not helpful for the hobby. Here in AZ I can keep local hots except for the Gila with out a permit but I just don't get into the local snakes as much as the exotics!
