ya it took me for ever to get mine off feeder. what i did was i would put one feeder in and then a piece of shrimp the pink ones. so it looked almost like a goldfish. i droped it my the filter and let it run across the top off the water. they ate it after a couple times. feed them less and less tell they go for it.
ya give it a shot it might take some time start off with still feeders and then toss a shrimp in there. then put less and less feeders in and more shrimp. if they still dont go for it then just let them get hungry and make them eat it well this should work it did for me. know mine will eat anything that on top of the water. if you haft to try small worms like night crawlers or red worms. the night crawlers i cut into pieces but as long as it still moves he should go for it. at www.deckerwormsales.com they have free shipping and sell worms. they are good fish food, just rinse of the dirt first. good luck
