What size tank do you recommend? 180g tank?

Rubbermaid stock tubs and kiddy pools are my secret weapon for housing them, cheap, big, and really ugly.
yeah but then you can build a nice wooden frame around them and they will look substantially better and for a fraction of the price of buying an actual pond that big

or you can build a little larger frame, throw some plywood in and lay in a pond liner and have 3x the size as a stock tank for a fraction of the price. i built a 1200 gallon indoor pond for less than they sell 300 gallon rubbermaid stock tanks for.

This is pretty much the exact reason no one should flip out over buying fish that will get big. The most expensive part of housing them is the filtration.

my filter cost me a total of $18 and my pump cost me about $100 its not the most expensive part it like the pond itself just takes a little injenuity

I saw one of these hybrids at my lfs It is 3" very cute and really pretty. It had a very full belly from eatting some neons that were in the tank with it. Idoits putting this fish with small tetras. But I don't think these fish should be sold at just any shope and should be ordered if someone really wants one.

Good luck with it . Can't wait to see what kind of pond you rig up for it.

rtc tsn are not new btw, they do get big as everyone stated and can and will live 10yrs given proper care. most of the time these are in tanks that are to small for them, thus damaging there face from raming the glass while swimming. just be carefull of the livestock u keep with prob will become a snack sometime soon.
