Sam that is really bad news mate, gutted for you.
Must be a real dissapointment, but at least your other rays are ok, although i guess that makes it harder to try and understand what went wrong.

Really sorry to hear this Sam, she was making a really nice ray. This type of loss hurts much more when you have raised a fish from young as you have, so sorry mate, I have been there so can understand how your hurting.

Check her underside for puncture wounds, particularly the stomach area.

Wow. That's horrible. I hope you find out what happened, and that is not detrimental to the other tank inhabitants. That's got to be one of my biggest fears, all is well, then bam. So sorry.

Thanks for the comments. No marks on her whatsoever. I did dissect her and everything internal looked normal too. All other fish still fine.
