New (interesting) tank pick up

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I thought lobster tanks also had built in chillers, which would be really really nice for salt, if you choose to go that way. Compared to most lobster tanks, this is a nicer looking one, and for some tires you werent using, it sounds like a good deal.

Thanks! Yes, it does have a built in chiller and a protein skimmer and it would be awesome for salt water. I just don't really have the money or the time to start a saltwater tank at the moment. I have most of the equipment but have never done a saltwater before and don't think I'm ready to learn yet. When we get a house and some extra $$ I definitely want to try though. It is fairly scratched up but with dimmer lighting and it being full you can't see them unless you look really close. I would say it is in nice shape for a lobster tank. I will definitely post more pictures with a better camera and when we get the background painted and substrate in it!

well its a tank that you can use in the future if you decided to do saltwater in the future. I think it was a good deal and you will come to like it. I think if you make it an African cichlid tank you could hide most of the intank sump.

Not into cichlids at all but it is going to be painted black

Well im jealous, I think it was a steal. If its acrylic, some of the scratches can be taken out, and painting the filter cover will make it look ten times better. Ive been looking to score a lobster tank for a while, just not the dome ones that you sometimes see at seafood markets.

It's glass unfortunately so the scratches wont be coming out :( Just curious, How much would you pay for it. I don't intend on getting rid of it anytime soon but just curious. I will post updates when we paint the cover!
