I keep high quality thai ranchus that I thought were an expensive hobby. Never did I know that plecos are more expensive than keeping goldfish, as you usually would just keep a certain amount of goldfishes but plecos.. you just keep buying them as they’re small..

It’s common for plecos to have internal parasites so always keep an eye on them and make sure they are eating. Never buy a pleco with a sunken belly or one that looks overly swollen, or one thats pooping white.

Plecos often get frayed fins from fighting or transport but usually heals quick. Do a bunch of water changes to keep bacteria counts down and it should resolve on its own. If not, add meds.

Water changes are your best friend
