New Introductions,senior, 'Old' members?,

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I guess I didnt introduce my self.

My name is Jason. Ive been into fish rather it be catching them on rod and reel, keeping them or eating them all of my life. I got serious into the hobby in '04 starting with two red belly piranha. My piranha addiction grew fast and before I knew it I had a schoal of pygos including piraya, caribe, and nats as well as several serras including a couple of macs, brandtii and sanchezi.

Then I discovered stingrays which led to bigger tanks and BIGGER dent in my wallat. Had several marbled motoros. Also had other monters such as STs, ITs, and one of the largest NTTs on MFK. Then I got into other fish, discovered how much less care they were then rays, sold all of them and now down to just one fish in a 29 gallon tank.

The love is still there but my other hobbies, most notably the shooting sports are easier to maintain as they dont die!

I've always had tanks since I was ten years old, but getting out of the military kicked my MTS into hyperdrive. Then the wife limited the number of tanks. But she didn't limit their size. Silly woman. It doesn't hurt my feelings to shut down a 29 for a 180.

I am still here from 05 =]

My intro would probably be stupid...

My name is Ash. I have kept a wide range of fish from community tanks to monster tanks. I ve been in the fish hobby for the last 8 years. I also had community fish tanks when I was little for about 3 years which is probably where my addiction came from. I currently keep African Chiclids and a Saltwater tank. I had a problem... I had TMTS.... (To Many Tanks Syndrome). I have downgraded currently to 3 tanks, we will see how long that lasts.

Hi there,

my name is Koen, I am a student and I live in the Netherlands.

I have been struggeling with this aquaholic addiction for a good few years now. I have lost a few friends because of it, but have also made quite a few new ones. This looks like a great place to meet and talk to like minded people.

I have kept a lot of fish in the past but sadly am down to 4 tanks atm, mainly because of cost and space. Currently keep clown loaches, a indo datnioid, polypterus, synodontis and (my pride and joy) a 15" L27.

As soon as I find out how to share pics I will upload some haha

Hi there,

my name is Xander, I have just finished my diploma in Psychology and am enlisting in the army soon. I reside in Singapore.

my main interest lies in gars, but i am also intersted in stingrays, large characins and other primitive fishes.

i have been obsessed with finding tropical gars for 3 years now.

i also enjoy aquascaping and aquatic photography.

love all animals and a pacifist. i absolutely loathe acts of cruelty or unnecessary violence.

i used to skateboard and have dabbled in several martial arts, but am not as dedicated to anything else as i am to fish keeping.

i like to believe i'm a nice person, but that doesn't seem to be the conventional wisdom..

and yes, i know this post spends a lot of time contradicting itself.

Thanks very much to everyone that has posted on this thread! :D It really does help us noobs to get to know others. Really hope more of you will reply! :)
