new IT questions

I wouldnt assume my experience is the norm but more of a possible range of outcomes. See what krich thinks. Im pretty partial to bichirs ive never had any issue with them and dats.
I see. Will try to have bichirs and see if everything will work out. Thanks!

I had my 3 x IT 6 to 10 inches initially in a tank with a red aro, a few peacock bass, a florida gar and a endi bichir. Tank was all black. They remained dark and keep hiding at the side through out the time I had them, about a year. They also fight with each other.

Then I moved them to my african cichlids tank, again all black tank but with white sand, I could now see their bars. The smallest about 6 inch is now permanently stable, at least for the time he was in this new tank.

It has been about a month.

Just another question though, I've raised the temp of the tank to 32C these past few days because the 2-3" oscar (which is his new tankmate) has ich and it seems like he's more stable and not hiding anymore that much because of it. Is temperature also a factor of a dat being stable? I live in a tropical country so I don't really use heaters except when my fish have ich.
