A baby jag was given to me a few days ago. i had no plans of getting one due to my 55g tank, but someone that knows 0 about fish showed up at my door with it. I do have plans on upgrading, but nothing bigger than 90, 75 being more likely. the fish is healthy overall, but doesn't seem to want to eat anything. I've tried hikari gold, wardley cichlid pellets, tetra color granules, freeze dried krill, and flakes with minimal success. he/she did eat a tiny piece of krill, but spits everything else out. what do you guys feed your jags?

well if it is a baby try brine shrimp live. Or live worms ,maybe frozen blood worms.

my brother has a jag the same size and is picky but loves blood worm

bloodworms are usually reliable for me, even with fish caught straight out of the canal

Earthworms...if it still doesn't eat, starve it until it does. It's always possible it has parasites. Watch for flicking against decor, stringy white poop, etc.
Feeders are fine if quarantined first.

try live earth worms or red wigglers also if you can get live crayfish there great never met a cichlid that would turn them down but you don't wan't to feed your cichlids live crays to much as they can get hooked on them just like feeder fish
