Those get expensive when larger. Patience is key with these, as they're really, really slow. At least the red form is.

Keep us updated Hulon. I need to find pics of my old maple. It loved indirect sunlight and dirty tank water. Shame I made the mistake of giving it to my ex before we broke up FML

Don't let it get a lot of full sun or heat, the leaves will get brown and burn up. Like he said above, dirty tank water and some shade do wonders for maples.

Good idea for an interesting project Maxx....Although I know nothing about the art form I could dig up one of the little seedlings in my yard and give it a try.

Years ago they must have been pretty popular in this part of the city as there are some nice big old ones on most streets around here.
