New Jardini in a 180 Gallon Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've never fed crickets, my girlfriend will not allow them in the house anyway, "they might escape". However, I've heard people describe them as "crack for fish". Once fed these for awhile, some fish refuse to eat anything else. Hopefully, it's just a little stressed, and will eat other things once it gets comfortable. I think I would lay off the crickets for awhile, and only offer other foods for a few days to see what happens.

Try some frozen bloodworm cubes. Mine only seems to eat these. I am about ready to just release some feeder fish into the tank. I never saw such a shy fish.

It's perfectly fine. It's just trying to settle down in it's new tank.:)

Should be fine, don't worry. When I got mine, I fed it 1/2 cube of blood worm twice a day till it was big enough for the pellets, now that is all I feed it. Once in a while I toss some blood or meal worms to change it up a bit. Stay away from live fish, too risky for parasites. I have had mine since it was about the size of yours, maybe smaller, now it's about 14 inches and really healthy!
