the previous owner had him on feeder fish, but im going to get him to take shrimp. hasnt eaten so far -- its just been a day since i got him. thanks for your comments and feedback!
he's doing pretty well. i put a couple of pacus as tankmates, and he's been chasing them around.
tried feeding him a shrimp this evening, but he didnt seem interested yet...keeping my fingers crossed

good luck. it won't be easy at that size. market shrimp should bring the reds/pinks out a lot better.
