Depends, all my fh's have had nice sized kok's at 2 inches. Usually those are the stunners as they developed early and end with a higher genetic potential but maybe yours is a late bloomer? Just take care of him with a good stable food (nls, hakari), clean water, and also a tank size relative to the fishes size and he'll reach his maximum potential.

Heres some of my babies,
Around 2.5 inches suffering from hex

Around 2.5 inches.

My baby named apple when he was about 2 inches

Heres a video of him at around 6 inches I think?

wow what those are some beautiful fish. At what size do did you get them? and how much, if you dont mind me asking

The first two was a bundle deal for 150 I believe. The last one is a high quality srd was about 175 I believe, most expensive fish I ever bought.

Danielcho, hopefully one day i'll have a good enough budget to buy a very high grade FH. Thanks for sharing pics

Yea a bit pricey even for me haha. I love your fish tho, very nice coloration. Lets just hope its not a hard kok and its a water kok haha. Good luck with him!

I think you have a female because of the lack if a kok but it's a very nice FH nonetheless I like the finnage on the tail it's nice and rounded it has nice color for a ZZ as well the colors have really came along since the first pic that you posted its really starting to develop it will keep looking better and better as time goes on.
Hope you don't mind but I would like to show you mine he is a male he had a kok when he was 2-3 inches

Haha thanks! I'm not too worried about the kok. I think this one looks great the way it is. Hopefully he/she gets more color as it gets bigger. Anyone have an idea if it's definitely a female or male? The guy at the LFS had told me it was a male when I purchased him/her.
