Yea that what im thinking they claim they were eating hikarki carnsticks and live food. And i dont think he would be picky on what pellets i would offer and that kind the main reason i got him cus he was pellet trained they had some mono around 3-4inches the size i wanted but they wasnt pellet trained but the next time i go to the pet store ill pick up some guppies or something

It will attack those guppies with gusto and when you are ready to train it there are a few good ways to go about it.Some members have posted their methods.

Well i went to the petstore and bought some feeder guppies and a oscar so i can put in the tank with him and a just shredded those guppies
 
The lady told.me to be careful about peacock they can be bullies but im not trying to keep him long term maybe until he about 5 to 6 inches and ill sell him about to the store

Which are you planning to sell back,the peacock or the Oscar?
 
For pellet training use the method in the sticky works great use blood worms and then graduate to blood worm intented pellet paste the less blood worms more pellet then onto full pellet, most important thing is to get them surface feeding so when you drop that pellet in they eat it. It seems that the kel has been introduced to pellets but hasnt fully taken to them yet so be patient it may take some work. Dithers are important for teaching and aggression, I personally have always used oscars and silver dollars luckily it has always worked for me good luck and keep us all posted
