New Kelberia Bahia and Temensis

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I did a water change. Tems are still acting normal and attacking food. I've never experienced ick in freshwater, just been lucky all these years. Maybe i jumped the gun. Live and learn. I will say, Wes, at Rare Fish has been awesome. I will continue to order from him and would recommend him to anyone. Class act. I'm going to order 2 kels again and possibly a tig.

The two temensis are doing great. They been eating mostly frozen brine shrimp. There is also a small oscar being grown out with them. I've never seen fish so hungry before. They will be 12" quick.

So, I decided to place another order with Wes. He gave me a credit, which was amazing of him. I ordered a wild 2 spot orino, another kel bahia and a wild crassipinnis (sp?) oscar. They were set to arrive yesterday am. Well, due to an ice storm, they sat in a fedex truck 45 minutes from me overnight. Temps were zero, and i assumed they would be dead. Wes continued communication and assured me he would take care of it if they were dead. They arrived today around noon...and....all 3 were alive and well. The heats packs and Wes' packaging did it's job. Can't wait to grow these guys out. I'll get some better pics later. They were pretty active for being in a cold box for 2 days.

Yes. Wes is very solid to work with. Very accommodating and doesn't stick you with credit but will refund. I did the same thing as you. I got a credit and simply spent the money buying more from him. I hope he continues to thrive and provide the hobby with these gems.

Very nice. Wes is always great to deal with. I also lost 3 of my Kelberis from that batch, and my Orinos and silver dollars in quarantine with them fought off some stubborn ich, but all is well now. All the SD's are outgrowing the bass at the moment lol. Care to post up pics of that Oscar?
