New L128.....advice please?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm not worried about the L128...I'm worried about it acquiring the taste of discus slime coat.

Oh got ya. Right now, the l128 is puny. Maybe 2". So hopefully it won't become a problem for a while

what were you feeding the 1st one?

The first one ate some algae around the tank, drift wood, blood worms and brine shrimp. Any food suggestions?

i had a green phantom and it ate everything. carrots, watermelon rind, brocolli, and prawns also.

I do need to do more veggies for my plecos. My wife and I don't eat a lot of veggies so I never think of getting them! Thanks for the reminder!

There is almost a 0% chance of this with a blue phantom imo

But there is that chance. I'm not saying don't try it...Just keep an eye on it. Better safe than sorry. :)

If things continue the way they have gone so far, it won't be an issue. The blue phantom has stayed in the current from the moment I put him in, and the discus stay in the still water.

Add some current....some rock work amd feed a variety of feeds like veggies, algae wafers and they love Shrimp pellets

Thanks for all the info everyone. Anything else you think of will be appreciated! Here are some pictures....First one is of the L128 while in the dripper, i built the dripper and call it my "Acclimation Station". Then there is a few of his tank, and the last one is him this morning, in the tank.DSCN1756.JPGDSCN1761.JPGDSCN1767.JPGDSCN1768.JPGDSCN1771.JPG
