Well it turns out as a Xmas present my uncle was going to give me £10 and his old 3" L-018. He hadn't seen it in a week as he was changing over his tank he said i could have it but as he was stripping down his tank he found it dead. What a shame....

He had it for about 6months, im just hoping as mien is big and has weight it survives,

Yeah, they just never really thrive in the aquarium, they seem to at best survive, which is unfortunate as they are a very popular fish, WC and don't last very long, so not good for the species I guess, and leaves a lot of people gutted.

To be honest, I don't know... they differ very much as individuals how they survive in captivity, but you can be sure yours won't get to a wild adult size as they just don't grow in captivity. I've had one for a couple of years now and still alive, but I'm not sure that in reality is health is fine, as it's not really growing much, got it at about 1.5" and it's about 3" now and not really growing fast. I only got mine as a freebee, they aren't something I'd have normally.

Well he seems fine and is eating so ill just keep on what im doing.
