Shark sportfishing is a huge industry. The downside (like all sport fishing) is that some die in the process of catch/release. Unfortunatly, sharks don't fair as well as other sport fish with the whole catch and release idea. Due to smaller population numbers, a few deaths can have a big impact on the ecosystem.
