I could swear feeding new life spectrum (large fish 3mm pellets) for a week or so (switching from sinking krill & shrimp pellets) has darkened my delhezi up. Anyone with a similar experience?

I do keep him on a light-colored substrate (regular beige sand) because I can't find any reasonably-priced dark sand.
The NLS definitely helped though.

Mine are more active now after a week. Not bad . Less waste too. I love the stuff I just ordered more 3mm thera A large fish formula and 3 mm large fish formula. Color changes will be reported if they occur.

I don't remember seeing an order. LOL

I've seen differences out of a lot of my fish by switching them to NLS.

Dont think we get it over here unfortunately but polys do change colour with the substrate too if you change colour.

you can get NLS (new life spectrum) on ebay among other online stores but you have to use its full name when searching for it. im considering trying it to see if it makes a difference on my senegals and cichlids but i have a ton of hikari cichlid gold to use up so i cant really justify the extra expense.

PM sent :D

Oh and quick thread update since I switched to NLS I noticed I have to feed a ton less of NLS compared to the massivore. If I feed the same amount as I would a frozen food or hikari their bright colored detritus is everywhere... Leads me to believe I can get away with less as they are clearly getting what they need.

Yeah I notice that too. The fish don't seem to eat quite as much NLS as they eat other foods... Ends up being less waste = less water changes necessary = happy fish owner.
