i have ordered some of this fish food and i was wondering who else uses this product. is it as good as hear it is? i found some on ebay in 5lb buckets at reasonable prices. after figuring out what i would normaly spend on hikari gold at lfs on sale, it comes out way cheaper and it seems to be a better quality product. so you guys let me know how it has worked for your fish. thanks;)

its all i use now my fish are helthy and love it

I just bought my first NLS pellet a few weeks ago. My fish did eat it although they still prefer hikari pellets to the NLS. After comparing the content, protein, vitamins, etc.. I will be sticking with Hikari only in the future.

I think I'm going to pick up some NLS for my tropical fish...

I have been looking for the goldfish kind, but I have 2 pounds of Pro-Gold and some Hikari, so I'm going to wait a bit before I get another food :)

I feed my goldfish an incredibly varied diet... think I'd see the results of NLS? In a week they get a few veggie/fruit meals (peas, banana, orange, lettuce, etc.), frozen mysis shrimp or bloodworms, and their staple is pro-gold. I guess NLS would be a good supplement too, but it would be neat to have another goldfish tank that I could strictly feed NLS to make a comparison.

Wow, after hearing this I should get some nls.

upon reading another thread im gonna be mixing hikari and NLS pellets together for my fish.... upon reading more into it this seems to be the best of both worlds

Mixing Hikari and NLS could only help, but it's probably overkill :p. You're better off to get the NLS and supplement with live and frozen foods instead of hikari products.

everyone says sinking carnivore pellets have more vitamins and what not but new life is all i use and i truely believe all my fish are far brighter and healthier than what i see around here .... the lfs all use hikari sinking and floating foods... i also use spirulina algea flake food ... try new life and dont look any further u have found it

I mainly use Hikari, just ordered some massivore and sinking carnivore pellets, but I use NLS flake and sinking pellets in my community tank.

I've used NLS for my cichlids for a couple of years, but recently I've started using Omega One as well. My fish seemed happy with NLS and were breeding well.
