I recently made the switch from Hikari to NLS. No real reason...just felt like a change. I was kind of surprised that they went for it right away. Past experiences with NLS has proven differently. I can't really say that they've improved in color or size, but a 5lbs bucket is a lot better deal that 2.2lbs

Hey Ben, where can I get a 5lb bucket and how much?

On another note...I got my bucket within 3 days from Amazon. It usually takes a couple of weeks from Big Al's.

Or try kensfish.com. I had their own brand "premium" pellet but fish color got really dull. But they also sell NLS 5 lbs for $50. Free shipping with $75 purchase. Other stuff on their site are priced below amazon, which is nice..

I have used Hikari Sinking Carnivore for a while with my bichir and man it makes the tank stinky. As soon as I use the stuff up Im going to use NLS on them. They range form 3"-7" and already take 3mm with no issue, along with the 6mm Thera A. Cant wait to finish that stinky stuff up.

I've been using NLS exclusively for about 7 years now. I've had wild caught bichirs eating it withing minutes of being put into holding tanks after shipping.
A lot of their formulas are floating, especially the larger varieties. I'm down to floating only for my bichirs right now. The ornates are at the surface within about 10 seconds of the pellets hitting the water. If you overfeed, even NLS will make the water smell, but it takes a lot of food.

Just to add to the option, Jehmco.com sells NLS at $50-$55 (varies by formula) and if you buy two, they ship it free. Similar to the deal I used to offer, except they probably don't lose their ass on it like I did. LOL
