thanks chaps.

They are relatively expensive over here- it was up for £50.00 but i managed to negotiate it down to £40.00 due to it's injuries. Doesn't realy bother me wther or not i paid over the odds as it's a nice fish.

I did mean to ask; i have heard they prefer cooler temperature but what is the upper level temp they prefer?
there on ebay for £30 lol u got riped off mate sorry 2 say :(

except they aren't. You are refering to the specimens from Essex aquatics and what you have failed to take into account is the shipping cost £28. I live to far away to collect them so i would say i wasn't ripped off. If anything it was a good deal. ;)

they have an ebay store as well.

From what i gather they get to about 10".

Thanks again for the comments.

oh yh the shipping for got lol but nice cat any way :D

Fantastic pick up - and a good size too - I also think that the price is right - and you got discount -

I once had one that I had in a discus aquarium - I popped it in at 2" - the next time I saw it was 6 months later and the catfish was 6" long - one of my favourites - but you just don't see them often at all here.

Nice one

Cheers! it's an awesome fish... appart from the nosies. It's going to take a while for me to get used to it's croaks/barks/farts.

I will definately be keeping an eye out for another as i know they do better in groups.

Thanks again everyone. :)

Very cool! I love these guys.
