New Little Silver Arrowana

so i ended up finding a really good deal on a 250gallon tank and have moved the oscars in there and moved the arowana into the 135 gallon seems to be working well the arowana eats like a champ and should grow fast... currently feeding him hikari food sticks but was curious if cichlid gold would also work for an arowana? only 1 local pet store around sells the food sticks and only in the small bag which eventually isnt going to be enough lol

im assuming there isnt a big difference in the foods but im not certain so figured id ask

How big is the arowana? You could buy food online. Especially from kensfish. Hikari gold is ok but it's not really meant for arowanas. I suggest sera pellets. Cheap and plentiful. Not as good as hikari but acceptable staple

9" Oscar could really damage a juvy Silver Aro.
I would wait untill the Aro is at least 5-6 inches longer than the Oscar. Even then if the Oscar decides to attack, you could lose your Aro.

so i got my arowana now a little longer than my biggest oscar.... and i decided to put him in the tank with them we watched them and the big oscar didnt even pay any attention to him at all it was actually my small oscar about 6 inches(about half the size of the aro) that after a while tried to attack my aro, so i had to move the aro back to the 125 for now i guess ill have to let him still get a bit bigger before i move him back there =/
