Mike has nice rays for sure! Great pick up. I might want to cover that heater he will find his way to it and get burned.
Knew people were going to mention the heater! It was covered about 30 seconds after the picture.
Quick update. He's relatively inactive during the day right now. But as soon as the lights go off he's all over the glass and "surfing" in the flow of powerhead. Thinking hell obviously grow out of being "shy" while lights are on once he comfortable with the tank. His only tankmates is a Tig that im trying to also pellet train. Ray ate black worms and nibbled on a piece of tilapia last night but didn't swallow it this time around
Will snap some more pictures tonight and post them up. H
be careful and avoid feeding the stingray shrimp with the tig in the same tank. tigs can't digest shrimp properly and will get bloat. Yeah my new ray just nibbles on pellets and catfish, she only takes shrimp
The tig is around 11in so he should be able to handle small amounts of shrimp. Isn't the general consensus that tigs 12in and bigger can digest shrimp? But i haven't introduced shrimp to either fish yet. Would really like to get them both on pellets asap. I feed my other rays mostly pellets with shrimp/tilapia 2-3 times a week
The general consensus is 12" and above and shrimp is fine in tigs. However have u seen T1's thread about his big tig? Yeah tell me how pelet training ur ray goes, my ray just swims over the pellets, nibbles a bit and then moves on.
