If you are reading strictly ammonia only i would say your tank may have never actually finfished cycling probably due to the water changes...

Best bet as mentioned is to get some established filter media from a healthy tank at the LFS or a friend and throw it into your tanks filters to let it kick start your filters beneficial bacteria, coz at this rate you may end up doing more harm than good...

Well I dont have any friends here lol, I just moved from miami to Kentucky. But I will contact my loval shop and see if there is anything they can do for me .

Once you have your own established tanks then cycling will be a thing of the past... dont think i’ve cycled a tank from scratch in years... always moved filter media around if i need to start fresh...

I hope for that to be the case lol. I know is just the biginning, just had one of my oscars die from the others attacking him/her and not letting him/her eat.

Might not have been the other fish that killed the Oscar. Check your parameters fish in cycling will kill fish. Might be water change time

The parameters are great and the other fishes are healthy, eating and no signs of any diseases.

I honestly don't think you need that much filtration. Do a water change, monitor water quality and you will know what your filtration can handle and how often to do water changes. Monitor as the fish get bigger because they produce more waste. A five gallon bucket filled with lava rock probably has more surface area than one of those filters that cost hundreds of dollars and if not just get a ten gallon bucket.

Sorry to bother you but I have a question, I am wondering if you could have too much flow where water won't get cleaned up on the canister. I have a 1056 GPG pump (DCT 4000 Marine DC Pump) and I have it on full blast.
I am also starting to read some ammonia, NITRITE, and NItrate, I added some Water Hyacinth plants to the aquarium.
I am doing water changes every other day or every few days so things don't get out of hand.
Maybe the Nitrogen Cycle is starting to take place.

I have heard that you can have too much flow but I am not sure how much is too much. It would be helpful to buy some driftwood, driftwood with anubias or some marimo moss balls for your aquarium. Make sure they come from display tanks with fish since they will have bacteria on them.

You could also try seachem stability as a rapid start. I have used it without complaints and my local fish store swears by it. I do know some people don't like it so just keep an eye on things while using it but it might be your best bet.

You could also try seachem prime as a rapid start. I have used it without complaints and my local fish store swears by it. I do know some people don't like it so just keep an eye on things while using it but it might be your best bet.

Is killing me inside that I might have too much filtration or it might be too fast, the pump I mean. That thing looks like a water hose on full blast lol, perhaps is not filtering properly.
I googled what you mentioned and I actually used that when I first started the tank about 2-3 weeks ago.
I have not seen any signs of anything until now that I am reading the mentioned above.
Could this be the Nitrogen Cycle working?

I meant seachem stability not prime, I got a little mixed up there
