New member - Hello :-)

I got her about 4 years ago from a LFS who had been given her by someone and I suspect she was maybe 18 month old then. Initially I put her in a 280 litre tank, then upgraded to a 430 litre and about a month ago she got upgraded to 660 litres. She is peaceful to tank mates but is less than impressed with everyone else in the household including my dogs, often coming out of her large flowerpot and showing off until the intruder backs off. Rather picky about food, she welcomes treats but is reluctant to accept downgrades once she has tasted something better. Like many people often say - if you look after the water the fish will look after themselves. I regret that she does not have a companion but it's just too risky to add another BB of any size now. I have 3 sides of the tank covered as I think it's important that she feels secure. Her only bad habit is moving the sand about and spitting it into the filter intake. The photo does not show it but I've created a clear plastic shield to deflect the bulk of the sand now whilst not interfering with it's normal operation.

Your fish is gorgeous. Good to hear that she is peaceful, too. Maybe she is very satisfied LOL.
