Be sure to get the solars w/the White LED's in them. They cast a very cool, bluish color over the water at night.

I have had them for a year now around my pond:
But out of 12 - 3 have broken on their own. What happens is the sensor breaks and they then stay on during the day and that drains the battery so no light at night.
They are so cheap - about $5/piece that all one can do is throw it out and buy some more.
