New Member - My 150 Gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm actually not sure what typres of plants are in there - I got them at an arts an crafts store, the big weeping ones are plastic and the leafy ones are silk.

SmoothCriminal mentions that there are fern in there ?? hehe

Thanks all for the nice compliments!!

Thanks All! I suppose it's a good thing that they look real enough in the pictures - I'm pretty happy with them in person too.

BTW my small convict pair just hatched fry yesterday in my 20G.

Quite a nice surprise :headbang2

Welcome to MFK, I digg the tank! Really nice hardscape! :)

:duh:Here's the current stock list (of course it's not permanent and listed in pecking order)

3.5' - 4" Midas - pretty sure he's a Midas (snout comes to a "C") but who knows these days - he's got awesome black on him right now but I'm seeing it go away and i'm kinda disappointed about it. He will either be put in my 90G alone or sold if I wind up not liking his colors.

3.5" Argentae - Very cool with great fins so far - finalist for the permanent inhabitant.

3.5" Bifasciatus - Nice and healthy from Jeff Rapps - starting to get some red around the gills - will probably grow out with the Argentae and i'll see who I wind up liking better.

3 - 3.5" Melanurus - From Jeff as well - nice blue and pink showing through already although he will probably be given away or sold.

1 1/4" Red Texas - Got him for a friend who is supposed to eventually take him from me - has the most color of all of the fish in the tank and he's a third their size - Oh those Hybrids! :duh:

So far everyone's doing alright - a bit of chasing going on but no fin damage or lip locking - hopefully I can get a few more weeks out of the mix with no problems.

Also have 2 2.5" clown loaches, 3 1.5" - 2" silver dollars, and 1 3" pictus catfish (never see him :irked:)

Comments/Suggestions/Similar Experiences?

For a final result I wanted to have either the Bifas or Argentae in this tank with maybe a robertsoni, silver dollars, and a breeding pair of sajica, cutteri, or HRP. Will that work?
