Ok, so I did a little work on the tank today. The water is cloudy but I added a ton of filter floss to help clear it up some. I also added some medium sized rocks that I brought back from a trip to NC. I just wish I had more...I also moved some plants around and added my first fish...some bluefin killifish from another tank. I am still not liking the rocks stacked up in the back. I am probably going to do a south/central american type tank, but still am clueless as to what fish.
Anyways, here are the pics:

Oh, I was looking around at the indoor "pond" section, and decided to order one of those metal framed above ground pools. Target has them listed for $50, plus $45 shipping. I plan on using it for a feeder/native pond on the side of my house. I have a large cement slab that was just waiting for something like this. My plan is to fill it with plants and get a few powerheads to move water. If I stay with small fish, I should be fine on filtration with plants alone. Any thoughts on this??? I know it is not a permanent thing, but if it lasts a year or two, why not?

Some pics of the tank as of today:

I took down the rocks and made a small cave type area. I also added a large clump of java moss and a piece of wood with anubias and java fern on it. This should be tough enough for whatever fish I get so I am going to keep it in most likely.

hey it looks good!
love the way its set out. and if youve never kept anything more than tetras and barbs etc this is a monster tank TO you. its all relative. i think a 150G would be monster, try telling that to someone with a 1000gal aquarium =P
u could have some geophagus in there if you are going south american biotope

Nice tank welcome to MFK!!!!!!!What type of fish are you going to keep in there??

I am trying to stick with a Central/South American tank still...just not sure about certain species yet. I have been stumbling around all the lfs trying to get an idea. Although, I found one that had very small peacocks, labs and other africans for $2 each. That is tempting me to do an african tank...

All in all, I want either a single species breeding tank or a predator tank with a bichir or two, oscar(s), some kind of cats...

For now, my two female bluefin killies are loving the tank!
