all my nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia levels are safe; I purchased my kois from a petstore that has over 100 "healthy" and very active
koi goldfish in a single 55 gallon tank. how do they do it?

What do you consider safe levels of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates? Posting the accurate results would just be much easier. Also updating threads more often then every 4 months would be helpful.

what are your water params??? also id be concerened that if you keep changing all the water your tank is never cycling...and when you do change the water what are you treating it with..dechlor, prime, anything????? you dont offer enough info to let anyone help you...

Thanks alot; i will take all your advice and test the water parameters & post more often. So far, I took out all the water, all the gravel, cleaned & replaced filter media -- fish have been very lively since. Additionally, as I was changing the water, I think I discovered where the water problems were coming from as I found clusters of rotting food pellets stuck behind the filter intake strainer. I will definitely feed a lot less and see if the water conditions continue to remain safe. Thanks.
