I have experience black backgrounds can darken the color of flowerhorns. View attachment 1322156
My srd fry was soo active this time.. The kok was growing, chases my hand but the colors just doesnt work out well with black surroundings.

Here he is now in a well lit tank with a lighter background. That is just from my experience though. Good quality fish btw keep updating

It took a few days because they were not stressed out tht time. I removed the black background so tht time the tank had no background and they were really comfortable with tht. It sure does lighten up their color. Blue or white background are also good but its up to you.
 
His head went down quite a bit... ph level is at 7.6 and temperature is a constant 84F. Any suggestions?

Wow what happened to his head. I suggest some crush corals in there some where to bring up the ph since kamfa thrive much better in the higher ph levels also flowerhorns do much better with higher temperatures. Just my experience.
 
Just did a 100% water change and I think he’s liking it. His hump is growing back quite nicely and the yellow is coming out more. I wonder how that two tone is going to look later... thoughts?
