I'm new here, just thought i'd post a picture of my ray, bought it about two weeks ago.
I was told that it was a wild caught motoro ray.
Been feeding him minced up shrimp, but he seems to have gotten a bit fed up,
so started digging up some worms, which he laps right up.

Welcome to MFK! Make sure you introduce foods other than just shimp. I get dozens of earth worms from the local fishermans supply, massivore, cut up tilapia and frozen large krill shrimp. I feed mixed combos of those as a staple diet. My rays get market shrimp about once every other week.

One of my females has a vitamin B1 issue from being only fed market shrimp from the original owner. She washes out in color if I feed too much shrimp or tilapia. Adding worms x4 nights a weeks makes her jet black. They are PIGS no matter what they eat but the contents of their diet makes a big difference IME. The krill they destroy but is for the tankmates for the most part.

I was thinkin the same thing. He might get lucky. Mix bits of shrimp with the worms. Add other foods slowly over time.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys, i will take the advice and start mixing foods so he has a broader variety in his diet.
