New Metallica...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think a few of you are missing out who are just brushing it off as another crap album.

Like I said, everything past Justice hasn't done squat for me - I haven't purchased anything by them since the Black Album.

Thrasher gave this album a good review so I looked into it - simply because Thrasher Magazine is generally pretty honest and only into the heavier stuff I listen to.

While the album isn't as good as the stuff with Cliff, it's nowhere near as bad as anything they've released since Load.

I heard a second song off it on the radio a couple hours ago..... Heard the first song (slower one) and was just like WTF? And brushed it off as another St. Anger. Much like MANY of you are doing right now. Heard the second song......HOLY SHIAT!!!!! Sounded like "And justice......" to me. Friggin ROCKED. Metallica still has it. Coture is NOT too old. Lidell still has a little left. Armstrong will probobly win again. Acdc has a new record. And I STILL friggin LOVE Metallica. Will I go BUY the album form the store? No. Only one that gets my $ now is Corey Taylor....... But I will definetly put this at the top of my "MUST obtain" list....... I thought it sounded that good.

Not a chance I'll buy it after they F-ed over their fans the past few years.

Don't see how you can judge an album based around hearing one song...I've listened through the entire album now, it's better than the Black Album but nowhere near the stuff they were doing before Cliff died.

There just not the same band they used to be . I was listening to Mettalica since before they were "cool" they soldout to there original fanbase . Besides i will hear it over and over on the radio eventually

I don't know why people judge a band based on one album!?!?! I agree with most of you in that there music as of late has not been the best Metallica stuff but come on if you like a band give em a chance. I am listening to the album now and its good. It may not be like their old stuff but its pretty close. Awesome riffs, good leads, and I think a pretty good album. If you don't listen to the new stuff thats your choice but don't base your opinion on their last album or on their recent stuff. Give it a listen two or three times if you still don't like it fine but give the album a chance you might like it. Not that it matters but St Anger was not the greatest album ever but its growing on me. I still have a hard time with the snare.
