Thanks. I wish I had room for a mate. He's the sole inhabitant of a 75G...so there really isn't any room. He's already pretty territorial.
I got him from Jeff Rapps...cost was $35 plus the shipping. Worth every penny!

Very nice midas! I agree with the others that if you give him time he will eventually start to come out. To speed up the process you could put some small fish in such as guppys etc so that he feel's safe.

Thanks. Yeah, I threw 3 Tiger Barbs in there and they definitely helped. Amazingly he hasn't killed/eaten any of them...hasn't even shown that much interest.
