That depend on the person if it's ugly or not. I don't care if it's ugly, it look cool to me. It evolved that way.

Pictures dont do some cats much justice,the Doradids are one my favorite groups but I just lost a Megaladoras.

Same here. Dorids and pims are my favorite catfish of all! Sorry for your lost by the way. I too lost 6x 4" megalodoras when they arrived at the airport. Smaller ones just don't do so well during shipping.

Nice find. My cat was a fluke too. They didn't know what it was and just wanted it gone. I have the pics on my profile page. My guy is getting big and seems very lazy but that is what I like.

Thanks! I actually ordered this cat as a megalodoras, but when it arrived it wasn't a megalodoras, but a pterodoras. Still it's in my list and I'm happy with it.
