Do they become less active when they get larger like that?

The ones that I have now, never stop moving. They are about a year old or so.

I cant really answer that as I havnt seen too many really large loaches. One of the displays at the LFS I work at has about 10 quite large loaches with quite a few around the 6 inch mark. They all just laze around most of the time but they dont actually have much room to move because the tank is very heavily planted. I think they just like to lay down when they are in big groups.

They guy I have is actually on its own and never really stops moving. Just lays on his side occasionally. Hopefully by this weekend he will have 3 more big buddies to play with

I feed him whatever the other fish miss, which is bloodworm, flake and pellets.

No idea mate,

Before he came to me he went through quite a few owners.

Damn Steve those loaches are crazy! Ive been looking for big ones ...i was foolish for passing up SA's Large Clown Loaches.

I actually got another 4 at this size. They look awesome.

You should have gotten the loaches RTF They really add somthing to the tank.
