To bad they are ugly and shaped like bananas if you can get them at 12" from the wholeseller you should get them so you can help other members out all of mine were thick and healthy not obese and definitely not ugly plus I have never seen them anywhere 12" so you are a lucky man I bought all mine at the size of the one you just picked up..gave them lots of food and plenty of space to shapen up and now wah-lah...

How long did it take to grow from this size to 12"?

Think they all go banana like when they get to a big size, i have seen 2 monster cl's at a LFS that were selling for $300 each and they were atleast 30cms.
