On my wall should i skin the surface where my tank will sit with plywood
or is this overkill.
Will the tank be ok sitting on the 2x frame by itself with no plywood underneath
Of course i am going to use some styrofoam to take up any irregularities in my construction

Plywood....

For a glass tank = no (but wouldb't hurt)
Acrylic tank = yes

might as well use plywood too while youre at it!

plywood is overkill but that never hurt any one, just costs a little more
if you are going to use it I would use at least 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch board
