Power wash, scrub, poor boiling water on top. It is much too large to bake or boil.

now you gotta put that piece of wood with a few plecos for a month or more for them to clean that up for you

You can soak it in a large trash can or a 55 gallon drum too. It may help leach out some of the tannins while you're waiting to set up your "new" tank. Awesome piece of wood by the way. It will make a great center piece!

awesome piece of wood. id give it a good clean and soak it for AGES to get it water logged and all the tannins out. Its gonna look sick once its in the tank!

It's too large to fit in a 55g drum or trash can....I'll figure something out. Thanks though!
